About: MovieCollection

MovieCollection is my hobby project, developed by me, Philipp. You can learn more about me here. Whenever I have some spare time, I keep improving it bit by bit. You can see the features I'm planning to implement here.

MovieCollection originally came from a simple idea: I wanted to be able to view my movie library from anywhere, especially when standing in front of a store shelf, unsure whether I already owned a particular film.
Even more important to me, was keeping my data with me and not relying on the availability of external services.

Planning movie nights was added lto the app at a later date. After all, who doesn’t enjoy watching films with friends? Since I watch movies pretty often and others don’t always ask, I built an event system. This way, anyone can see what’s happening and join in whenever they’re interested without the awkwardness of having to invite themselves.
